Instead of just brushing your burger patties with barbecue sauce, get the maximum flavor by actually adding the barbecue sauce to the meat mix! The patty mixture reminds me of meatloaf since it requires an egg and bread crumbs. Just look at that juicy burger! Enjoy these in the great outdoors, or indoors, either way, you’ll be saying ‘yum!’
If you’re not in the mood for a side of fries, try serving these barbecued burgers with some steamed vegetables and a fresh fruit salad.

Makes: 4 servings
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce, divided
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 4 KRAFT Singles
- 4 hamburger buns, split
- PREHEAT broiler. Mix meat, 2 Tbsp. of the barbecue sauce, crumbs and egg. Shape into 4 patties. Place on rack of broiler pan.
- BROIL 4 to 6 inches from heat 7 to 9 minutes on each side or until cooked through (160°F), brushing frequently with the remaining barbecue sauce. Top with Singles; broil until Singles begin to melt.
- FILL buns with patties. Top with additional burger toppings, if desired.
