For our last post, I want to share with you this 5-star recipe for Barbecue Chicken and Peach Kabobs with Bacon because it is a true crowd favorite. With only three steps, this recipe is a definite keeper!

Feel free to substitute the peaches with nectarines (you don’t have to peel nectarines). If you’re using wooden skewers, remember to soak them in water for 30 minutes before using to prevent them from burning on the grill.

Goodbye from all of us at Just Add BBQ!

Have you ever been in the middle of cooking something and then realized that you forgot to purchase that one last ingredient? For instance, you anticipated having some burgers but forgot to buy the buns. What do you do? You improvise and get a few slices of bread from your breakfast table! These BBQ Toasted Patty Melts is just like a barbecued burger, but instead of using buns, it uses slices of wheat bread. These are perfect for last minute meal ideas or if you’re in the mood for some quick barbecue, slider-like bites.

Instead of cooking ground beef on the sizzling skillet, mix it up and try cooking up some thawed frozen LOUIS RICH Pure Ground Turkey. Make this a memorable night around the dinner table by serving these melts with a side of mixed green salad and your favorite fresh fruits.

Spicy BBQ Shrimp sounds like it would heat up a bonfire, now doesn’t it? Of course, you’ll need a separate grill for these shrimp; you wouldn’t want to char them over the bonfire! I love how shrimp doesn’t require a lot of grilling time, which is perfect for easy chit-chat with your buddies.

As you’re already aware, the first word in this recipe’s name is “Spicy.” The makers of this recipe weren’t joking either. Did you know arbol chiles have a heat level of 7.5 on a scale of 1 to 10? Wow!

Before closing up shop, it’s important that we don’t leave any high-rated recipes out. Recipes travel from person to person, hoping to get passed on to the next generation forever—which is why I’m not much a fan of “secret recipes.” Here’s a recipe that is too delicious to be kept a “secret,”– Cedar Planked Southwestern Steak. As you may recall from our earlier posts, we published an entry about Cedar Plank Pork Loin. This recipe is different because with steak, you can sear it before cooking it on the plank. By doing so, you’ll create beautiful, traditional grill marks, which helps prevent the meat from looking and tasting steamed. Presentation plays such a vital role when it comes to food, and sometimes you can’t help “tasting food with your eyes”. Serve this delectable steak with grilled corn on the cob.

With only a few entries left, this recipe is one that I hold closely to my grill and it’s important that I tell each and every one of you about it. If your hungry guests are wondering what sauces help make these skewers unbelievably delicious, you can either play coy and tell them it’s a secret, or you can be a dear friend and tell them that it contains KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce, A.1. Original Steak Sauce, and GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard. It’s a good feeling that your grilling creations are so loved by many, so spread the love!

If you’re planning on hosting a large party and want to plan ahead, you can toss the meat with the steak sauce as directed. Then, refrigerate up to 24 hours before grilling as directed. Try serving these skewers with hot cooked rice and a tossed green salad too.

Did you know that according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, Americans buy over 837 million packages of hot dogs at retail stores, and over 24 million hot dogs at baseball stadiums alone?!

It’s no wonder that one of America’s most popular concession foods deserves its own special holiday. Did you know that according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, Americans buy over 837 million packages of hot dogs at retail stores, and over 24 million hot dogs at baseball stadiums alone?!

You can celebrate this tasty holiday by cooking up a few variations of your own. Grill them, steam them, fry them, the choice is yours. Here are some tips on how to cook these delicious dogs to perfection on the grill and on the frying pan:

Grilling:

When cooking your OSCAR MAYER hot dogs on a grill, it’s important to cook them on medium heat on an open grill. Instead of using forks, use tongs to turn the dogs. Remember not to stab the dogs because doing so releases the juices, which makes the meat dry. A good amount of time to grill is about a minute or two on all sides, turning the dogs periodically to prevent the skin from burning. Try your best to heat the dogs until they are consistently covered in grill lines.

Pan Frying:

First, heat a sauté pan on medium high. Then, lightly coat the pan with vegetable oil. When the pan is hot enough, add the hot dogs. Remember to use tongs or a spatula (no forks!) to turn the hot dogs frequently to prevent burning.
Finally, sauté for about 5 minutes or until the hot dog is crispy on all sides.

Are you ready to master the art of grilling hot dogs? Great! Now, check out some of these creative hot dogs: Pretzel Cheese Dogs, Dynamite Dogs, Tex-Mex Hot Dogs and Steamwhistle Hot Dogs.

Combine them all together on a warm bun and your taste buds will soar out of the ballpark! A major plus about this recipe is that you don’t need to go out on the grill to make them. You can even make them with a microwave. This BBQ Bacon Cheese Dog is a great idea to have when you’re too busy to take your eyes off the ball game. Just run over to the kitchen, press a few buttons on the microwave and you’ve got yourself a mighty fine hot dog!

It’s been a fun-filled summer full of lots of yummy grilling and we’ve had a whole lot of fun hearing from everyone, and sharing our recipes with you. We still have 2 more weeks of great recipe sharing, so don’t go any where just yet!

It feels like people are already planning for the weekend; even when it’s not anywhere close to the end of the week! If you’re planning on staying in this weekend, I highly suggest that you try this recipe for Pot Roast with Gravy. Since this delicious dish will spend about 6 hours in your crock pot cooking, you’ll have plenty of time to catch up on your favorite television shows or curl up with your favorite book until the meat and vegetables finish cooking. When this pot roast is ready to go on your dinner table, you’ll realize that this fine dish is totally worth the wait! If you’re a fan of milder barbecue sauce, try adding 1/2 cup water to the sauce.

Got leftovers? Make a sandwich out of this by splitting a Kaiser roll with a tablespoon of KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise and sprinkling two tablespoons of KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese. Then, add 3 ounces of sliced leftover meat, 2 tablespoons of leftover onions and a slice of KRAFT Singles Select. For the final step, wrap it in foil and bake at 375ºF for 15 minutes.
