Almost everyone is all too familiar with the typical hot dog and bun combination, so try jazzing it up by making some Hot Dog Kabobs. If you’re planning on spending 4th of July at a campsite or at a park, these kabobs should definitely be on your to-grill list. Just pre-cut the vegetables at home and take them with you to your grilling destination.

If you’re watching your calories, but don’t want to be a party pooper at the same time by not trying these fantastic kabobs, you can save 110 calories and 12 grams of fat per serving by substituting the appropriate ingredients with OSCAR MAYER Light Wieners and KRAFT 2% Milk Singles.

Prep Time: 10 min

Total Time: 20 min

Makes: 4 servings, 1 kabob each

Ingredients

  • 4 OSCAR MAYER Wieners, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup cut-up fresh vegetables (cherry tomatoes, zucchini, green and red peppers)
  • 2 Tbsp. KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
  • 4 KRAFT Singles
  • 4 hot dog buns, split

Directions

  1. PREHEAT greased grill to medium heat. Using 8 long wooden skewers, (two, side by side, for each kabob) thread wieners alternately with vegetables onto skewers to create 4 kabobs. Wrap skewer ends in foil to prevent burning.
  2. GRILL kabobs 10 min. or until wieners are heated through and vegetables are crisp-tender, turning and brushing occasionally with the barbecue sauce.
  3. PLACE Singles in buns; fill with kabobs. Remove skewers.
